Place you rent damaged in the flood? You may be able to get some rent money back. Click HERE to find out more.

Before you sign a lease, find out about your rights as a renter. Your rights are different in some counties. Click HERE if you live in one of these counties: Davidson, Madison, Maury, Montgomery, Rutherford, Shelby, Sumner, Williamson or Wilson. Call 1-888-395-9297. It’s a free call. It is open 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. But you can leave a message any time and they will call you back. You will be matched with a volunteer lawyer who will help you for FREE. They can help with these kinds of problems:

  • Getting government help for flood victims
  • Filing life, medical and property insurance claims
  • Dealing with home repair contracts and contractors
  • Replacing missing or destroyed wills and other legal papers
  • Dealing with bill collectors, rip-offs and being cheated
  • Advice on foreclosure problems
  • Advice on landlord/renter problems
